‘You have just one life, so live it to the fullest’. You must have heard this quote numerous times, well my friends this is indeed the truth, you must take some time off of your busy schedule and go travel this world with friends or fly solo as this world has plenty of beautiful places which will blow your mind. No matter what your occupation is, be it a student, teacher, engineer or even a retired army general, everyone needs to travel and revel in the natural beauty of this wonderful planet called Earth as life can be very stressful sometimes and travelling can surely lighted you up and refill you with energy so that you can tackle whatever challenges life has to offer.
While you can’t make a list and rank places as ‘Top three’ or ‘Top ten’ as every place has different as every place has a tradition, historical importance, culture and natural beauty of its own. But you can surely pay those places a visit and decide for yourself if you liked it or not?
Here are some of the places which I found a beautiful piece of artwork by nature. And Trust me, none of these images are photoshopped, they are indeed places that really exist.
#1. Salar De Uyuni – Bolivia
This gem of a place, also famous as the largest salt plant of the world turns into a huge mirror during the rainy season. It gives off the reflection of the clouds which makes you see as if you are actually walking among the clouds. It is used for calibration of satellites but is also one of the first destinations which photographers or tourists would want to visit.
#2. Zhangye Danxia Landform – Gansu, China
The Great Wall of China isn’t the only beautiful sight in China as the Zhangye Danxia Landforms, also known as the Rainbow Mountains whose view is a breathtaking sight which any tourist will never forget throughout their lifetime.
This rainbow like color of these mountains is a result of the red sandstone and the deposition of various minerals over millions of years. Earlier the mountains were usual mountains made of red sandstone but this ‘layer cake’ got buckled down by the tectonic plates and rain along with wind gave the mountains this wonderful shape of valleys, waterfalls, ravines of different shapes, sizes and patterns.
#3. Sea of Stars, Vaadhoo Island – Maldives
This mesmerizing view of the place known as sea of stars can be described as the nature’s miracle of an organism called ‘phytoplankton’, whose bioluminescent behavior helps it glow blue during night.
During day time, this beach looks like a normal beach which you can find anywhere but as the sun goes down, this beach turns itself into a spectacle that cannot be matched by any other beach in the world. It looks like the sky has literally come to the ground as the phytoplankton glitter like bright stars.
#4. Mount Roraima – Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil
It is the highest peak of the Pakaraima chain of the Tepui plateaus. It is also a triple border point of Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. It has a rich history as the myth is that the natives of the Gran Sabana believed that Mount Roraima was the place which held all the fruits and vegetables of the world. Today this unusual looking mountain has become a daring spot for any traveler who seeks thrill as the weather is highly unpredictable and hiking is not allowed after 2 p.m., though it makes up for a fascinating and exciting hike.
#5. Santorini- Greece
Santorini- the place that never fails to make a spot in the best tourist destinations list. The place is absolutely perfect to make your vacation even more special. The interesting fact about Santorini is that the island was devastated in the 16th century due to volcanic eruption and has now become the most popular and spectacular destination for people worldwide. The beauty and magic of Santorini are impossible to describe in words. So we must suggest you to visit this place once in your lifetime to feel the essence of the place yourself.
#6. Thermal Springs-Pamukkale, Turkey

Many a few people know that Turkey is a home to this magical and magnificent Thermal springs located near the River Menderes Valley. Do you know so many people have actually bathed in these hot-mineral saturated waters for years now. These frozen waterfalls, scalloped shaped water basins and beauty this place will leave you spell-bound. Water at these springs is not any ordinary water, but water found here is high in magnesium sulfate, calcium and bicarbonate. Visit this place once in your lifetime to have a delightful experience.
#7. Plitvice Lake- Croatia
The Plitvice Lake National park is one of the oldest national park in Southeast Europe. Founded in 1949, it is the largest national park in Croatia and has been declared as UNESCO World heritage site since the year 1979. Home to large varieties of bird species and spectacular wildlife, magical waterfall and beautiful landscapes and breathtaking scenic views are perfect to add some lifetime memories to your life. The charm and essence of the place look even more enticing when the water freezes in the winter and the entire place becomes sizzling white.
#8. Wilhelmstein Island – Germany
This island might look strange to you, but trust me it really exist. To your surprise, this island tiny, artificial was built in the 18th century and is located on Lake Steinhude. This base of the island was made with the piles of stones that local fishermen carried here by using their boats. Somewhere between 1965 to 1967, the island was changed into a military fortress by the William- Count of Schaumburg-Lippe.
#9. Jiuzhaigou Valley- China
Scenic views, lush green forests, crystal clear lakes and beautiful waterfalls, Jiuzhaigou Valley will take you to the complete new world. Visiting this place, you’ll get some spectacular views along with an opportunity to see over 2,576 higher plant species. Being at the this place, you’ll surely have the best time of your life.
#10. The Antelope Canyon – Arizona, USA
This amazing masterpiece has formed after the erosion of Navajo Sandstone due to flooding as well as other subaerial processes. It is a massively popular location for photographers, sightseers and tourism as it helps the Navajo Nation’s tourism business.
